There was a big problem with instant-headshotting-bots flooding public servers for... an embarassingly long amount of time... but that has since been fixed, and it’s basically just as vibrant and enjoyable as it ever was. Lots of people still playing, as well as collecting / trading items, etc.

It sounds like they did the second best thing - creating a system where gender identity is untethered from the options available in the character creator. It's something that feels like it should be the baseline at this point, but it's satisfying to see it implement in this franchise.

There is a trans NPC in the game. Not a particularly important person in the narrative, but the dialogue makes the trans identity clear.

The concept of institutional knowledge is deeply undervalued by these corporations. It’s good to have employees who have been there for a while and know not only how things work, but also the history behind processes and decision making.

Given the online nature I think there was a reasonable expectation this would be supported for more than a year, but it seems the financial realities of the game performing well but not doing gangbusters ended those plans. Which makes sense and is totally understandable.

 Cry harder about it for us. 

Sims 4 may be DLC hell but they really seem ahead of the curve on stuff like this. I really hope it is present from the start whenever this fabled Sims 5 comes around.

An unquestionably awesome addition to the game. Feels like something you’d only see modded in by fans, so it’s rad to see it officially available. Kudos to Maxis and EA!

That’s more than likely true. A huge chunk of popular streamers are either really boring or toxic as hell. And sometimes I wonder how they are still popular.
