Patenting a gameplay concept is extremely sketchy. In an abusive court system they could take an abstract patent and bully any small developer who never even heard of said game/patent into submission. I feel like a strong case can be made for the PS4 version looking better stylistically due to things like the higher contrast. Its honestly strange that it is so different.

If you look closely you can tell it is not the same image. There are a lot of tells at the intersections of different elements. The artist’s model is extremely accurate which is what probably led to the confusion.

In some 3rd person games I can’t honestly remember what I prefer (especially if both x and y have inverted options) and I have to mess around with the settings until they feel right.  I think it actually varies from game to game.
