Thanks for the tips everyone! I'll do some reading up on flashing in the mean time and then in November and watch XDA for ICS mods especially any guides or posts concerning the Captivate with it.

The new co-op levels are glorious. Fun, challenging, gave me and my friend who are pretty experienced with portal lots of challenge. The new puzzles also seem to all take the co-op-ness to a higher level then the previous co-op tracks requiring more team work and problem solving together. New levels are just a blast…
