It’s because retail stores donate the clearance items that didn’t sell (for tax write-offs). The lower clearance price is still on the tag - yet the thrift store is selling it for more than you could have paid in the store.

I really liked the X Files but nowadays when I watch it, I can’t help but wonder if it didn’t help legitimize these assholes.
How is a truther movement appropriate for Pinterest?
Nice! It will be great to just do a search on a podcast when I missed some crucial point, but can’t be bothered to relisten to the whole thing.
Finding new content is a big issue, especially scripted podcasts - dramas, mysteries, sci-fi, etc. iTunes really needs to add upgrade their categories. You have to do some creative internet searches to find shows like “We’re Alive” or “The Black Tapes”. It shouldn’t be that hard.
Background conversations work for me too. Podcasts are great for that. On the Nerdist, they often ask people about their work methods which is motivating.
I can’t listen to favorite concertos like Rachmaninoff’s 2 in C minor (so emotional), but do fine with Bach partitas or even Mozart trios. There’s a soothing repetitive quality - it’s very light yet energizing.
Random receipts, pennies, an apple that should be either eaten or thrown out today. These photos always make me feel like a slob.
They’re on YouTube. :)
Good point. For myself, I was confused by the anthropology dig aspect. I didn’t know they went on digs like archaeologists. I realize there can be overlapping interests in the fields, but...
I think it’s site security - obvious if you know anything about fieldwork.
No way. What a mess. It’s hard enough to keep your personal sandy bottomed swimming area clean without mucking it up with dead leaves.
Love it. Yes, that’s exactly what I came here for. As a woman, unless I say “Sorry...” or “This may be a terrible idea, but...” before offering a solution, the idea will not be considered at all.
Ideally, I want them to automatically slide open with a gentle wooshing sound like in Star Trek, but I would settle for standard pocket doors, yes.
The only sliding door I’d accept in a closet is one that slid to the interior or exterior of the wall giving me full access.
Maybe they also wanted to exclude the Welsh and Irish?
The term anglo-saxon is there to exclude people from slavic nations. You don’t really think the Polish, Latvians or Czechs are the equals of those of English descent, do you? I mean, really.
I grew up bilingual (speaking English plus a Northern European language) and I never recall a single incident of anyone making that kind of comment to me and my family, or even giving us a side-eye. There was the occasional curious look but no condemnation. I’m sure our being white gave us a free pass.
Cindy is Gia-lite. That’s how she got her gig. They were looking for someone with a similar look that was less troublesome. Gia Carangi is the best of the supermodels from that era.
Thank you.
