Are they really fries? Here in the states we only get wedges, which I refuse to call a fry. 

And you think their mashed potatoes are any better? I run across quite a few people that think the mashed taters are the best thing KFC serves...I try not to associate with those type of people.

I thought about the Homerun, but Hulu has everything but CBS. And I like the ability to come home and just play something off the aerials. CBS just isn’t worth the price of the Homerun or even whatever CBS All-Access costs.

If this wasn’t a smarttv and had the tuner, I would be ecstatic. However, not having a tuner makes this a no buy. I’m well aware of the things I need to do. Exercise more, stop eating carbs, eat healthier. The three things I have a problem with. I’m not obese, but I could afford to lose a few pounds. 

The one I go to still uses them for rice, lo mein, and chow mein, but my Kung Pao has been in a plastic tub for years now.

I hate those numbers anyway. It should just say Recycle/Trash on the bottom. 

Our goal should be to eliminate most plastics. Either go to biodegradable containers or reusable instead of recycling. But getting manufacturers to do the right thing will be a chore.

The city over from me just ended their recycling contract. Now they’re giving the voters the choice of raising the price of their recycling bill or ending the program completely. In this area I don’t see people telling them to keep recycling and charge us more. 

I never understood why Chinese restaurants stopped using the wax paper boxes. They work well for everything but soup. They still use them for rice or lo mein, but I haven’t seen them put my Kung Pao chicken in them in years. 

I’m with you. I looked at the price of the thermapen, had sticker shock, and then purchased one that was a 1/4 of the price that works fine for what I do. I think thermapen’s are for the Williams-Sonoma crowd. If you have money, flaunt it.
