I HIGHLY recommend the recent two volume Viz hardcover re-release of the graphic novels. It's a fresh translation, and the art looks gorgeous. Much better than any previous English language re-release.

Not to be that guy, but Superman Returns was NOT a reboot. It was attempting to be a better Superman III than the actual Superman III. And given the quality of the actual Superman III, it succeeded. Singer wasn't trying to reboot the franchise. He was trying to make a new Richard Donner Superman film.
