Based on all of the 10's that this game is getting I almost say they scored it so low to get some extra traffic on their site. I would have never checked gamespot but now I'm going to just to see what they didn't like about it and I'm sure a lot of other people are doing the same thing. Then there's the fanboy-crying

I did the opposite, I picked it up yesterday and all I played was the multiplayer.(mostly because I played it with a friend and he's not big into campaigns.) But it was really fun, I enjoyed it. Try the Anniversary classic playlists it has the old pistol in it. Still has the reticule bloom from Reach though. I think

The multiplayer of this game IS Reach though...

I'm pretty sure 343 didn't touch the original code for the physics and such, at least not for the campaign. I'm also pretty sure the Havok engine on the box is referring to the multiplayer portion of the game.

To get the 3 shot pistol you have to play the Anni. Classic playlist. My issue right now is that they still have the reticule bloom from reach in it. But they are turning that off in the playlists at a later date I believe.

Well said. I'm loving it too. I played the multiplayer for hours last night. I can't wait to get into the campaign tonight. Going to play through it on Legendary. I mean, I have to right? I don't think I ever beat the original on legendary so I think now is definitely the time.

Just 3 hours until I get home from work and dive into the world of Halo:CE again. It's been too long my friend.

I think the issue reviewers have with it is that it's only one game rather than a bundle of multiple games...but it's still the same price.

Well the multiplayer uses Reach's engine, so it is VERY similar to Reach, in regards to the muliplayer. But if that's all you're looking for you could just get the map pack that came out today that has all of the maps that come with anniversary edition. But I definitely recommend playing the campaign it's a great game

No, check out the description of what they are at the bottom of the article.

The thing that you have to remember though is that the no or yes is solely based on the opinion of the person who has spent the most time with the game (the "lead writer"). Which i guess in this case is supposed to be Evan? The other two are just random gut-checks whether they played the game or not. So even if Fahey

I think they're actually somewhat similar in a sense that you (usually [in zelda]) have to attack the enemies strategically in a certain way and at a certain time. It's the lock-on with a shield and sword kind of combat that I enjoy a lot more than the more hack and slash type of combat elder scrolls is like. (part of

I understand what you're saying but that would kind of defeat the purpose of the gut checks, it would basically be a review if they threw in what you're asking for.

I was wondering the same thing, check out my post below.

Sure you can have your opinion about this game and I'm not trying to get all hot and bothered by the "no" since I'm getting the game and am going to enjoy the shit out of it anyways. What bothers me is that it seems like you dismissed this game because and only because it was an HD remake. You (meaning the two kotaku

YES! I said this last week on TAY. If Skyrim (or any elder scrolls game for that matter) had the combat of demons souls or Zelda I'd be all about it. But the combat is just so horrible.

haha, I'll send you a million virtual dollars for every dollar you "waste" if that happens.

You definitely should, it's a great game, plenty worth the $15 price tag.

haha what's wrong with that sentence? I got my point across. It slows you down but not that much...okay, maybe I should have used coordination rather than dexterity but if you read what I said before that it makes more sense...no I'm not high lol I'm at work actually, I have a lot of other stuff on my mind to be

I actually would say the opposite of that, I enjoyed Uncharted 3 but I didn't love it. And I returned it the second I finished the game(I redboxed it) There was no urge to start playing it again after I finished. I've played all 3 games and each one I've felt the same about. Good but not great IMO.
