Is anyone reallygoing to use Move to play this? You'd get murdered by people using controllers.

I thought that SOCOM was a big enough franchise that it didn't need to copy CoD. Looks like it might go the way of Medal of Honor. Devs and Pubs need to learn to create an alternative to CoD, not a clone.

@EnigmaNemesis: I just don't see "Casuals" paying $300+ for a portable game machine that only plays games (no phone functionality) so that they can download Apps. That doesn't sound like a "Casual" to me. If someone just wants to play Apps they will use their phone, not go out and buy a NGP.

I enjoy earning most achievements, but for some reason dislike trophies. I think the appeal is in beating your friends' scores and watching the total gamerscore increase. Having a certain number of trophies just doesn't add the same fun and excitement for me.

@Archaotic: I agree. On another note from one of your previous comments, I am concerned that the 3G version is going to go the way of the PSPGo. Who is honestly going to pay a premium for 3G download functionality? Why pay more for the system and then a montly fee when you can just hop on WiFi when you want to…

@Alex Winton: You are 100% correct. The NGP is going to be crazy expensive. Ultimately, devs will give priority to the system with the most units sold. I have a bad feeling that the NGP will be supported just as poorly as PSP. And before people start listing games that are good for the PSP, remember that even Sony…

@Kadin: It is for both, but I'd recommend the XBLA version. PSN always seems to get snubbed with the DLC for good games.

@Kadin: Costume Quest for me. I beat the game a while back, but haven't dug into the DLC I purchased. One of the best games of 2010 IMO.

I wish that Sony would charge for all PSN access so we could finally have an online experience that came close to Xbox Live. I would gladly pay $20 a month for something like that. You hear that Sony? I'd pay $20 a month!

@PatMan33: I agree. I think the 3DS has already captured the hearts and minds of consumers of all ages. The 3DS is like the Wii in that people will play their friend's 3DS and all of a sudden they will want one too. The glasses-free 3D is a game changer that Sony simply doesn't have an answer for.
