Because it’s worth your time/money. And if you’re unsure watch some YouTube videos or read some reviews before purchasing.

See you tomorrow, Josh.

Brenda (Braithwaite) Romero’s game “Train” comes to mind.

Can we talk about how fucking gorgeous his display is set up? His love of collecting is equaled to his love of displaying the collection well. Uniformed shelving across the walls and everything on those shelves placed/spaced with intent but not overbearing. Impressive collection; gorgeous setup; awesome collector.

Thank you. And I know this; but that wasn’t the point of my message.

Absolutely but an infectious personality to go along with it goes a long way for these runs in a charity event. Especially runs like Super Metroid that can be hours long.

Not to marginalize the issues at play here but another crime that GDQ has done was not bringing back the Mario Maker competitive run. That was an absolute gem during last year’s event made even better since other runners custom-made these courses just for the event.

The commentators were a bit lifeless and at various points were taking the run a bit too seriously for a fun marathon/charity event. Then the audience became incessantly annoying by constantly making the Waluigi “WAAAAH” noise. One of the couch commentators became annoyed by this and told the audience to stand in

Definitely agree. Although the audience for the Super Metroid run were buzzkills for that particular race. It was hard for me to watch many of the races this year for that reason though. I haven’t seen them all, obviously, but there are some stand-out ones thanks to exceptional player and/or couch commentators.

I know it raises a ton of money due to the “Save vs. Kill the animals” donation incentive but I wouldn’t cry if the Super Metroid run didn’t make it to the next A/SGDQ. I’m a bit tired of hearing about it and seeing it all these years now.

That doesn’t change the fact for one second that the city environment rings of Sonic Adventure’s hub world to me. My post had NOTHING to do with gameplay. Nothing. Gameplay is irrelevant to my statement on the city’s design and aesthetics.

Genuinely confused here: What’s eye-opening about this? Most licenses, and practically all issued through the US government, have fees attached?

Pokahontas, I’d like to apologize on behalf of the two people with paper assholes who responded to you here. This article’s title is click bait—actual click bait—so I can’t fathom why they’re telling you to fuck off, etc.

No, he’s right: The title of this article leads you to believe this is a demo of one of the real, cancelled beta builds of RE4.

Totally. And while it obviously has a higher resolution for textures and screen resolution than the Dreamcast I think it’s mostly because of the aesthetics that the environments in these screenshots scream Sonic Adventure.

You (and Outmeal) nailed it for the response here!

Two things: 1) I hope to live to be 74 and healthy relative to that age and 2) I hope to find a game I love so much as to play it for 18 years and still enjoy it well into my golden years.

I get you’re generalizing an entire user base here, but, no. I’ve been a console gamer exclusively since 1989 (when I got my first NES). Swapping out HDDs is a cinch and blasting compressed air in vents is no issue and something I do regularly.

You’re grasping for straws. Yes, there’s also a screw you have to unscrew but again: grasping for straws. If you don’t know how to slide a piece of plastic, unscrew a screw, and dump files onto a USB stick you probably shouldn’t be a gamer because the controllers (console) or driver updates (PC) alone will confuse you

Very true these days...
