Does this suggest that the CA regulation serves as a prelude of US changes to come, and that while they don’t have to follow the CA regulation (selling outside of CA), they have a good idea of what regulations will be in the future, and can work toward those goals before the US regulations follow? Sure. It’s pure capitalism, and the employee is free to jump between companies. Just as companies are free to outsource their positions, unions are able to push for better wages/conditions, employers are able to switch to robots, and people are free to complain about how they’re losing their jobs despite not acquiring…
