Oh god. I hate hate HATE to wake up with a migraine. When that happens I know I'm stuck with it all day, as the triptan I take can only help if taken at onset.

Isn't it funny, and Imitrex made me *so* sick when I took it. I hear good things about it, though! The other thing that worked wonders for me was taking a preventative dose of Topamax every day. That really cut down on the number of migraines I was getting (it was getting ridiculous, like one every couple of days).

I'm like YesVirginia, if I see the aura and take two Excedrin and some CocaCola RIGHT AWAY, it can stop the pain of the migraine from ever fully developing. I'll still feel sick and weird, and have a big blind spot, but not as bad as if I don't catch it and it progresses past the aura stage. That's horrible pain…
