I stopped taking it back out of the fridge years ago!  I store all my chocolate in the fridge year round and it stays perfect.

“Memories of the Alhambra” , “The Uncanny Counter” and “Kingdom” were all fantastic.  I still hope “Alhambra” gets a second season because it leaves you with a lot of questions.

I’ve been buying from Candy Funhouse in Canada for my Cadbury needs during the pandemic, and it’s been worth the shipping costs to get the good stuff! However, Crunchies are superior to Crumbles IMO.

My mom has a lot of stories about being taken to bars by her grandpa in the 1940s when she was a small child but he was an alcoholic and probably shouldn’t have been allowed to take her anywhere after the first time he passed out on the way home and she had to continue on her own to get family to help him. Also NYC

I stepped on a baby at a bar once! Because it was sitting on the floor outside the bathroom. The kid (probably about 12-15 months old) didn’t even cry, just looked up at me like, “yep, it’s Tuesday”. I have no idea where its parents were, I just staggered back to my table.

Interesting! I watched the 2011/2013 version and the next one I turned on seemed to have the same exact script and I didn’t like the actors as much so I turned it off after 30 minutes.  Highly recommend the one I watched.

Seven Souls in Skull Castle is a great filmed adaptation of a Japanese play about samurais, so I recommend a watch if you like that kind of stuff...but does anyone know what all the seasons/versions thing is about?  I can’t figure it out.

Isn’t this what dating is for, really?  To figure out how compatible you are not just on the day-to-day grind stuff, but on the major stuff like, “do we agree to vaccinate our children against deadly diseases?”

I had a cousin who was a pharmaceutical sales rep who died of a prescription drug overdose (he was getting them off the internet pharmacies they mentioned), and it was nothing but a party atmosphere to work in, not healthy at all.

I kind of assumed “met at church” was code for “met in the AA meeting in a church basement”

Last time I checked, the gas and electric company and grocery store don’t accept “passion for your career” instead of cash money so...we need money to live!

that’s what our intern did - she decided to get an MBA instead of an MFA!

I was standing in the middle of a long line at the airport once and some guy almost knocked me over slamming into my side to get across the hallway to another gate - because “he didn’t see me”.  Standing in a line.  With tons of people in front of and behind me.  So I kicked him.  Then he was all “who did that????”

I got offered a job (in a museum) for $27K in 2000 and I couldn’t take it - I had to start paying off student loans and didn’t want to live with my parents forever.  Flash forward to 2019 and we have an intern at my current job who was offered $25K for a first job!  I’m like, how are the wages even lower now???

I did one called First Time Homebuyer Club through HSBC, but they only operate in NY and NJ.  If you google different banks names with that phrase you should be able to find out if banks around you have them.  I actually qualified as both a first time homebuyer and a low income homebuyer for my county, so I got double

My grocery delivery service included quite a number of things I don’t usually eat that I didn’t order in some of my orders that I’ve saved “just in case the food chain completely breaks down” - such as french fried onions (like the ones that go on green bean casserole), flavored seltzers (hate seltzer!) and a jar of

Speculoos cups for me! They were like peanut butter cups but with speculoos inside.

I once had a job at a museum where part of my responsibilities were monitoring the daily corporate card transactions of everyone, and I could call them up to question them if anything looked off about what they charged. It was a lot of fun because I’m deeply nosy. So I’d love to know how no one noticed this charge.

Having spent pandemic lockdown becoming addicted to Chinese TV shows and learning a lot of stuff about how nuts the TV and film industry is over there, this does not surprise me. The actors lives and images and the industry as a whole are highly controlled, fan culture is toxic, image and perception is everything, and

I bought a cake on the way home Friday night, because I knew I would want cake in quarantine. Planning to eat my last slice tomorrow.
