I’m so proud of those people who felt maintaining their political purity was more important than a Trump-controlled Supreme Court.

When people respond that I’m being “just like them,” I want them to show me evidence that Obama ran on a platform of sexism and bigotry and spittle-encrusted hatred. Prove to me that he was the least qualified man ever to run for president. Show me how the Democrats encouraged espionage to take down Obama’s opponents.

nah

“...a sulfite-infested hunk of commercial dried papaya...”

See, the difference is I’m not questioning Trump’s legitimacy as president. He won it fair and square in our shitshow of an election process. I don’t literally believe he’s not the president like the Obama haters did. But he does not represent anything I stand for or any of the values that actually make America great.

Starred, and then unstarred because of the last paragraph. I’m older than you, lived through the same situation, agree with you that there was an idealism in this country that just died a pretty rapid and gruesome death. But hectoring someone about how and how long they grieve over what is very much an emotional

Yeah, I just had to tell a young woman at work, that yes, her “nice” white friends who voted for Trump because they wanted “change,” not because they’re racist, can fuck off along with the KKK. I told her that to people like me, there is no difference between an openly racist person and a person who simply doesn’t

This is one of the best ideas Alexander Hamilton ever came up with. He never thought it would be needed, but just in case he added it to the Federalist papers, that we might to exclude a president who had ties to a foreign government and was incompetent. It’s so tailor-made for Trump, and the ghost of Hamilton is

nor will he realistically expect Trump to.

I’m starting to think that maybe we shouldn’t have elected this fella President, you guys.

I don’t think this is just a rich people thing. Many couples I know actively avoid political discussions. In our home, it’s a thing and we disagree very often (I am a hardline liberal and my husband is a liberal-leaning-weirdo-conspiracy theorist). But we talk about it because its important. Its weird to me when

Legally, he will be my president and I will follow American laws. This is a sign of protest. He does not represent me in any way, shape or form. He is openly bigoted and sexist. He lied like his pants were on fire. He encouraged Russian espionage. He benefitted from egregious FBI actions. His fellow Republicans

I am so fucking sick of people on facebook being like “respect people regardless of what they voted and #notalltrumpsupporters are bigots”. We are talking about a candidate who ran on a platform of making society less PC, but his supporters can’t handle a few hurt feelings for being called out on their bigotry (or at

i ask my wife for face stuff all the time, but invariably, i only get it on my birthday.

She’s obviously not a stranger to the accused if it happened. Think before dismissing.

Oh fuck off, Sarandon. A) It’s actually shitty and sexist if you to imply that women voting differently than you are doing so because their little lady brains can’t handle voting for a reason other than “that one has boobs too.”

Wasn’t a fan when Killer Mike said it, not a fan if it now. Vote for Stein, vote for Clinton or ... other choices, it’s fine. But don’t imply that people voting differently than you are voting irrationally or because they’re being driven by things that aren’t their brains.

The good news for childless women: people mostly lay off when you hit 40 (if you’re single, at least). I think they’re afraid I’ll blow my brains out if reminded I’m a childless spinster. So I feel no pressure AND I (mostly) get to do whatever the fuck I want, whenever I want. (I still have to go to work and shit.)
