It takes a lot of fretting over civilian casualties, it takes a lot of complaints of military mismanagement, and it takes a lot of political pressure on elected officials to force them into a situation where they offer some measure of accountability to the people.

We don’t even bother to -guarantee- shelter, the least we can do is guarantee people access to food.

I used to have a fairly high opinion of Brad Wardell. I liked his thoughts on the game industry, and his vision. Stardock was basically a proof of concept for Steam to build off of.
