So initially I was all excited about the reduced memory usage of Firefox and on Windows it is still greatly reduced but holy crap it's actually worse in OSX it seems.

@AmphetamineCrown: They are inefficient without a doubt but when it will cost you close to $380 a month to achieve that kind of heat in a living room dropping $70 for wood is hardly inefficient for the pocketbook.

@TheFu: hahah Well it's still cold here, but it's already in the 50's so soon enough I'll at least be able to hang outside and actually do something productive...

@SpudDude: I'll remember that for when I hit it big, until then it would cost more to move than pay my taxes I think?

@AmphetamineCrown: I can assure you my living room is warmer than the rest of the house (not due to loss but due to the thermostat being lower) when I have a fire going. Yes you do loose some, but at least with the homes I've lived in I gain more from just a simple fire back and hardwood.

@Tyler Miranda: That is how I got my last cord as a matter of fact. My brother in-law had a massive tree cut down and he was able to work out a deal with the tree guy to give me some aged wood rather than cutting his tree up for me. I still have about a face cord left after a pretty cold winter.

@ryeliSEAN: First off if it doesn't have a fireback get one (directs heat into the room). Second you need to find out if the chimney has a sleeve in it. The sleeves reduce buildup and keep your chimney from catching on fire, but are not a requirement. If you don't have one you just need to keep an eye on it for

Happy Friday (although being unemployed makes it hard to tell it's Friday)!

@Mr.Gawn: I might do ok, but really I don't know. I'm scared to go over everything especially to open my Schwab statement...

This is the first year I haven't had my taxes done in January. I'm putting it off until the first week of April because I'm pretty sure that I'm going to owe...

It is always in your best interest to not mix work and play on the same computer especially if you take that computer into an office.

Depending on your airline you can often get an even better seat the day of your flight. Either login again online or hit up a kiosk when you get to the airport.

@TheFu: No I know, my old Sony did 2048x1536 (if memory serves). I went from that to two 1680x1050 LCDs. I still hate it as everything is made for verticle.

Hidden and use Rocketdock. Vertical is gimped enough as it is with these stupid monitors now days.

@Marand: I would take Bill, he's retired... Well that and he has way more money ;)

I've been running networks (Windows, Linux, and some AIX for Catia and what not) for 15 years and not only has the pay sucked, the stress can be mind blowing at the wrong company.

I don't understand how in this day and age people don't have one of these. They are insanely cheap and beyond easy to install.
