After being out of work since Feb and dealing with a long list of brutal, crippling additional disasters since then, you’re damn right I’m going to celebrate the fact that I landed a great new job and start on Monday.

^THIS.  Esther’s comment is absurd, and undermines her entire piece.  We’re all realists about what the Lincoln Project crew is, but to suggest they haven’t played a HUGE role in this election is ridiculous.

Old people like Buicks and Lincolns.

No, it has been reported by multiple reliable automotive journalists that they do not have a rolling chassis.

Your lack of knowledge and expertise on this topic is mind-boggling. Your “paid alternatives” section consists of two non-entities in this sector, including one that cannot even do video calls???

They don’t even have a rolling chassis, yet are airing a lengthy, elaborate tv commercial that is apparently all CGI.

Rivian is going to take GM out behind the woodshed.

Who needs to be told this??

I’m not defending the practice, but news flash...that’s how layoffs work.  It’s never the executives.

Rivian is going to whoop their ass. That thing looks horrible. Rivian has better looking vehicles, better technology and nearly $6b in funding. Oh, and all of this at half the price of the Bollinger.

Sad but not surprising. I’ve developed a real love/hate relationship with Jalopnik since the shake up. The product has degraded so much. Just today, I sent a legit news tip regarding Uber including photos related to what appears to be a shutdown of Uber’s driverless vehicle program here in Pittsburgh (where it is

I had a first interview for an IT leadership role with Rivian yesterday.  Exciting!

Miss you, Stef!

As a long-time reader of Jalopnik, well over 10 years, and a loyal fan to a fault, it pains me to say this but the fact of the matter is...Jalopnik is no longer viewed as a media entity worth responding to by Tesla or any other major manufacturer. It surprises me that so many articles here point out that “I’ve reached

$63k for a used EV from a marque with notorious build quality issues?  Hard Pass.

The easier way to do this, which I do every time I pour a glass of OJ, is to simply just vigorously shake the OJ container before pouring.

Find a remote spot. Dig a hole. Shit in the hole. Refill the hole with dirt.  Wipe with toilet paper. Burn the toilet paper.

Same.  And yeah, the FIA isn’t even reading communications from Jalopnik let alone responding.  And anyone who thinks I’m piling on, give it a break.  We’re talking about a website that produces almost no news of its own, relying entirely on regurgitating articles other outlets have written and adding some half-baked

Well there was a time when folks like Chris Harris and Doug Demuro wrote for Jalopnik, and it was pretty high grade motoring writing.  Those days are long gone now.

It is cute that you actually think Jalopnik has, in its current state, any chance whatsoever of receiving a response from the FIA to a media inquiry.
