I’m an idiot. I was stuck watching the NJ Devils before the race on ch 81, which is MSGplus2, which is in SD, because the Islanders and the Rangers were also playing at the same time, so Devils get the short shrift. I then switched down to 74 to ESPN2, but thats the SD version, should have been 574. Duh.

For me, on Long Island, with FIOS, it was that the ESPN2 was in standard definition, so I only had a 3/4 size screen and could barely read the graphics. The commercial timing was atrocious, but at least they had some side by side with commercials for the first half. But regular D is just not tolerable!

After Xmas shopping, I made it all the way through January without buying something on Amazon or any other site. It wasn’t a resolution, but worked out just the same. After this month I may try for 2 months!

The best thing I did was to get all my old 401k’s from 3 different jobs and put them into one IRA with a no fee index fund(s).
