I see a problem here; What if 2 of these autonomous cars encounter each other? They'll both brake, and wait for the other car to do something, getting stuck in an infinite loop of not doing anything.

But that's where the fatty sensor comes into play! Not only does it disable the return to driver feature, it also re-parks itself after every 5 minutes that you can't find it! Hope you find your car before that tub of ice cream melts!!
I'm sure once these are available so will parking lots that transmit out their open spots (Which might be reserved in accordance to rules). It'll usher in an era of miracle logistics.
I don't see a problem here, this is exactly how I park. Is it illegal or something?
Imagine in the near future: people driving to the city, just leaving their cars to go and find parking themselves. The streets will be full of people walking someplace, and congested with empty cars looking for parking spaces.
"There are 2 sides to the ... debate. Drivers want bikes to get the fuck out of the way. Cyclists cry about what drivers think of them"
Great news! The Dacia Sandero just passed 3 milli——
The final run of VW Type 1s from Mexico from 2003 are still relatively new, at least to me. VW Type 1s can outlive many cars and they're laughably easy to maintain and repair. So, it gets my vote and I'm sure Jason Torchinsky agrees.
Possibly splitting hairs, here, but ... Not a BMX rider, a trials rider. Very different disciplines. Unless things have changed significantly from when I was all into this sort of thing...
Danny mac is the man,but the red bull jump wasnt the highlight. For jalopnik purposes maybe, but the ball transfere to rail blew my mind. I posted this on oppo yesterday but it didnt get much traction...i guess i should have added more f1. Fyi this is not bmx its street trials
And how many pedestrians were hit by drivers in your city, son?
In my 22 years as an elite level road racing cyclist, I never had an incident like this. In fact, in all the states and countries I lived in and raced and rode in, I had maybe half a dozen run ins with motorists. Pretty simple to get along with cars. Ride like a motorcycle. Be predictable. Stop at lights. Don't ride…
Yes, there are asshat cyclists, the same as there are asshat drivers but to say that a majority of cyclists behave like that is ridiculous. In my experience while driving and cycling, most cyclists behave properly on the road and go out of their way to be courteous to cars, when they can.
"More often than not" or the times you choose to notice?
I ride several thousand miles a year. This video shows some of why I follow ALL the rules.
I'm reminded of the polar opposite of this....the video Jalop posted of an SUV behind a cyclist on a wide open rural road, the cyclist was even on the outside of the shoulder stripe if I recall, and the motorist refused to pass and just laid on the horn...
I've been a cyclist since 2002 when I decided I was tired of weighing 325 pounds. Since then I've ridden thousands of miles and now weigh in the mid 180's. That's beside the point...Idiots like this are what gives cyclist a bad name. I would NEVER wish anyone to be hit by a car, but you're asking for it when you…
As a cyclist myself, I can't express how much rage I feel when I see somebody on a bike doing anything that fucking stupid.
Sure it's only $900 base MSRP but if you want a your Porsche crest to be full color that is another $50, you want illuminated pedals $100, Alcantara steering wheel $200, and the list goes on.... if you want to buy this for little Johnny you better be able to shell out an easy $2500 with options. ;)
A better parent would buy their kids a $900 Miata.
