That's fair enough stopping being a believer but still being part of the community. People obviously want to keep in touch with old friends etc. However you can bet most their kids won't go. Once the parents stop believing it's game over. The chances of children being religious if their parents aren't (or have

What you have missed is that it takes about 50 years of access to information to evolve it out of them, along with a more liberal government (or a communist one, like what happened in China). No nation is going to change overnight just because they got access to information in the last 10 years or whatever. It's

Fair enough.

So what you are saying is that because it's so widespread in the US it will be the case everywhere else in the world? To the contrary, the fact that it has become near extinct in the rest of the Western world would indicate the opposite. Regarding Scandinavia having the lowest levels of theism, that figures as

IMO the internet is the final nail in the coffin of religion.

Why is this kind of nonsense being featured on Gizmodo? What next? Something about werewolves or witches?

This is the best UI I've seen. It makes Honeycomb look pretty boring.

@WillieG: I'd put my money on pretty much all UFO sighting's being ball lightning.

I use a new tab redirect extension so I'm always taken to iGoogle with a new tab but I don't see how to access apps if I do this. Any ideas?

Meh, the 2.3 launcher is not much of a change really. I have been far more impressed with how Sense HD makes Android's UI look/feel (with their very 2.3 influenced 'slate' skin ftw).

@Philip Barnett: I use it all the time, even though it's not great, so this is excellent news. I don't like using the analogue stick for some stuff.

It's funny how the US is generally really tight when it comes to 'vacation days' (we don't call them that in my country). Europe tends to be about double the US days on average. I get 38 days in total, although 4 of them I have to take at Xmas and New Year.

For any pages I don't have time to read I use the 'clip to Evernote' Chrome app and either put it in a relevant notebook or just in a 'pages to read' holding notebook.

@SEDAGIVE?!: OK, so if you believe evolution is possible, then at what point in human evolution did God give us a spirit? How long have we had spirits for? 10,000 years? 100,000 years? 200,000 years? (the latter being the point in time when the fossil record proves Homo sapiens first evolved in Africa.)

@Deltido: Yes, and as we are, we probably aren't smart enough. However, with exponential increases in computing power an technology, there is a strong case for us integrating with it and that means we can move to a much faster rate or evolution of intelligence.

@spydr101: Haha yeah I'm aware of my literary name sake. I've been meaning to read his books actually. They sound very interesting.

@SEDAGIVE?!: Blind faith can occur in any belief yes, but due to a flood of contrary evidence to so much of what religions say are fact, it's a term most often given to religious belief.

@Deltido: I didn't say the kid wrote the program. The kid is simply running it or you could say 'playing it'. The virtual universe he is running could have been created by a self learning program which was the result of a 1000 years of development and can fully emulate everything and anything. With < infinite

@CerealBizness: Correct. No space = no time. There is no before and after. Everything is 'now', regenerating itself, infinitely.
