I actually rub most of it on with my hands, then just use the brush to finish it off. I agree that the actual method of only using a brush seems really weird.

I use my hands to place it where I want, then buff it in with a large brush (same brush I use for my powder).

I notice it actually most in my lips and eyes, though. My whole face doesn't look pale, but my lips look pale or my eyes look very small. I also have dark circles, which I think are hidden a bit when I have more defined eye makeup on (and that consequently I notice more when I'm not wearing it).

I mean, I know how makeup works and that she's not barefaced, but by "minimalist" I mean a sheer sparkly lip, light pink blush, neutral eyeshadow, BB cream and mascara. I still look naked.
