Buckaroo seems a “mary sue” because he’s part of the tradition of the hero-expert, most of them based upon Clark “Doc” Savage, Jr. It’s a fine tradition, still works on shows such as Doctor Who.

I don’t want three Green Lanterns. I want one good Green Lantern. One of the many sins of the GL movie was not letting the character have time to breathe before introducing us to thousands of other Lanterns and Oa and too much sickly glowing green CGI.

They don’t need powers. Just have them team up.

Daredevil would just overcome their violence with slightly less violence, but Foggy overcomes their impulse to violence purely with words, with ideas, with sincerity. That’s a real superpower.…
