If deflecting the asteroid took a noticeable chunk of GDP we would absolutely fight about it. Especially if said asteroid would hit 50-100 years from now.

I did but now I kind of want one.
A lot of 3 row SUVs today are basically minivans without sliders. (Traverse)
I’mma let you finish, but this lad is the greatest of all time.
i wonder if they’ll make him take a class.
Best part is how the spoiler is no longer adjustable on non “P” cars, it’s just permanently up.
Oh no, definitely straight on rear. Has that same awkward look as the Model X where the glass doesn’t come down far enough.
At least he has a COO.
I was sad to see him stay. Tesla needs a real CEO / COO.
I really wonder what the point of heavy cammo is anyway (like the defender is running around with now). I could kind of see the point when styling changed rapidly like in the 60's but now, why?
just in time for battery prices to fall the to the point where this is pointless. Good job sitting on your hands for the last 20 years Mazda. We knew we could count on you.
One of my pet peeves is that there is no plugin Highlander or Rav4. Mitsubishi has been cranking out Outlander PHEVs as fast as they can make them for years now.
There’s always the Niro plugin
I could see HD trucks going series hybrid soon.
A lot simpler driveline and the efficiency gains would be impressive.
If it works for buses why not?
This is how the RX and highlander already work, the rear axle is purely electric. I’m sure it’s cheaper to just run a driveshaft down the center of the car but I would’ve guessed at this point the incentives on hybrids would’ve offset a lot of that difference.
Minivan buyers are pretty price sensitive. Hence why we don’t see 80k luxury minivans (or at least not anymore #RClass)
At this point though I’d think much lower battery costs and tax credits would make them very much economic when you figure fuel savings.
I’m really surprised Volvo beat them to the plugin hybrid SUV…
I wonder how the pacifica PHEV selling. It seems pretty tempting but the lease doesn’t seem to reflect all the tax credits that thing qualifies for.
Asian fusion is my favorite
Intuitively I agree with this, but I still think the fleets do the math on this stuff.
Places that report fuel economy as l/100km tend to have much higher fuel taxes so I’m not sure if the way the number is presented matters that much.
TBF the mileage gains on the GM mild hybrids were pretty modest 15% or so. Even the fleets didn’t go for them.
But with hybrids there’s definitely been a bit of overlearning from mistakes. Like how people decided because the civic hybrid failed all green cars had to look weird.
