Suikoden 3, since I missed out on 2 before playing three, is probably my favorite “this is a game in a series,” choice. Best story, best antagonist (2's antagonist is great, mind you), and best collection of 108 Stars imo.

I don’t get the hate. He’s been a quiet and effective advocate for change. He was anonymously bailing out people in Ferguson and Baltimore, and has always advocated for Black ownership and causes. Grandia 2 has zero random encounters actually. All enemies are on the screen and you can actually avoid many enemies if you wish to, but then you’re missing out necessary experience for your leveling as well as your upgrading ‘currency’ for magic/skills.
