I have heard Nier is worth playing, but I roll my eyes every time someone recommends a Japanese game and says, “It really gets good once you’ve put 50+ hours in” or “You have to beat it multiple times to see the whole story.” Why do people find this enjoyable? If you have plenty of time to spare, then sure, maybe

And we are not less for that. Taste snobbishness is quite stupid IMO, people will like whatever they want.

It goes to show how so few people can really use their palates to identify quality items — whether it be liquor, wine, cigars, etc. I’ve been trying to get better at tasting wine, but damn it — I still can’t tell the difference between a bottle of blended reds from the bargain section and an expensive brand.

Fun fact, the show’s working title was Weak Jab

Is this a joke? I have to assume this is a joke... “what’s to incentivize them them from wanting to be in prison?”

To this Australian, it’s absolutely shocking that Americans can be permanently disenfranchised for relatively minor crimes. In Oz, those serving less than 3 years jail have the right to vote during their sentence. Once released, all ex-inmates are eligible to vote as soon as they update their enrollment details.  The

Not really buying this. If it was about repayment to the victims, the money would go to the victims. It does not.

Anybody with any empathy would understand this is a shit situation, regardless of what they did, and anybody with any intelligence knows treating inmates like people doesn’t condone the crimes they committed.

what is incentivizing criminals from not wanting to be in prison, in addition to all the other benefits?

He’s not saying you should care about their products, but that is how the prisoners will strike: by not working the hundreds of prison jobs that rely on cheap/slave labor to reduce cost to the consumer. The consumer wants cheap goods, the retail outlets want cheap supply, and the prisons want their money and will be

America’s prison system is nothing less than a crime against humanity.

Go into a corner convenience store, find that little spinning rack of mylar balloons, and note the company name, ‘Anagram’. Those balloons are made by inmates, packaged by inmates, and shipped by inmates. Most license plates are made by inmates. Then there are all the jobs within the prisons that inmates are required

What? You’re telling me that working all day every day for a quarter an hour isn’t a reasonable wage?

Bruno, as the ad states, is a little bit extra... only eating if you scratch him behind the ear

I have never quite figured out why Napoleon Dynamite is such a big deal... I recently watched the movie again hoping to understand what I missed and, honestly, found it just as insufferable as I did the first time I saw it. Maybe the humor isn’t for me or something but it seems like it’s just not very good. Which

Patrick Warburton (a.k.a. Puddy)

I wish Kevin Smith had a crystal ball and could have waited to release Clerks in the Netflix or Adult Swim Era. We’d be on Season 14 with only a handful of episodes each season, but that deserved to live. The best was the “clip show” from the second episode.

I highly recommend “The Adventure Zone” podcast for those looking for an “actual play podcast”

My wife and I have an abiding belief that every person on the planet should be made to work at least one year in the service industry, be that retail, food service, customer support, or what have you.

The idea behind this belief is that while having walked a mile in the company shirt won’t stop everyone from shitting

There was so much about this episode that made me squeal, but one that made me think wayyyyy too hard:
