If the goal was to reach a mass audience, then showing such an image would have failed. I don’t know that people were ready to face their own bigotry in such ugly detail and would have simply tuned it out.

I watched her speech in a restaurant on CNN or something and right afterwards, the commentator pointed out how emotional she was, and compared it to all the other times she’d been emotional. It was very hard not to flip a fucking table.

Just be on their side and intercede and make your actions reflect that all the time. If people know you they should already know where you stand. If a stranger needs help they shouldn’t need to look around for a pin, you should already be there.

I got told that “waking up people” is more important than my life by a Stein voter on FB. She was very smug and giddy about Trump winning the election because she’s worked volunteering for politicians for 1.5 years.
