Well it’s certainly better looking than the T50, in my opinion. Extremely jealous of the future owners; that V12 is out of this world. And how awesome is it that he’s shown a middle finger to the current hypercar establishment that insist on over the top styling and mandatory paddle shifters.

I’m certain this car is a technical wonder, and call me a snob if you must, but for $1,850,000 I expect the two points of the car I touch the most to be a bit better than “generic leather steering wheel” and “generic plastic shift knob”.

I drove an older one in Greece this summer for a shore-excursion during a cruise. The little Suzuki was slow as shit, but charming as can be. Even my wife loved the little thing. It’s like the Miata of 4x4s.

Ironically, this only makes me want a Jimny that much more.

You are correct!

If I'm not mistaken, this is how monster jam trucks get transported between locations!

I thought the same. The concept and process looks simple but the non-engineers will over complicate the temporary wheel process: inventory of the smaller wheels and lug nuts, delivery of the final wheels and lugs to the mod center, returning the temp wheels to the assy line, etc. Sounds like a self-inflicted headache.

There is probably some innovation program at play and you don’t get awards for existing solutions.

They did it, those crazy bastards actually did it....

As an engineer with a love of the internet, I’m shocked that the Ford engineers didn’t go with an easier solution.

From “Bitchin Camaro”. Pertinent...

Do you really think the model S is ugly?  It still turns my head every time one goes by (which is often around SE MI).

Fucking adorable. I want to pat it on the head and give it a treat. What a happy little truck.

2022 DoD budget: $715,000,000,000
1 year of this program: $20,400,000
2022 NRO budget: $??,000,000,000

If Wild Kratts can explain the advantages of leaving the atmosphere to better deliver critical payloads around the earth to toddlers in a PBS cartoon, you can do better in an article for adults.

Holy cow, you really ripped that strawman a new one.

The single seat Metro does kind of kick ass though.

going just above the minimum speed limit.

I dunno, the “leaving some space between traffic” on the 405 doesn’t seem that egregious; it’s far better than the folks who will floor it at the first sign of a space and then slam on the brakes when the inevitable stop comes. In fact, I generally try to drive with some “buffer” in stop and go, leaving a bit of space

If the worry is the environmental impact, stunts like the Bugatti don’t even factor. For every Bugatti going 250mph, there are 1,000+ BMWs going 130. In the aggregate, the BMWs are going to be far worse for the environment.
