Backyard? How about at the track?
Backyard? How about at the track?
First review from the new Editor-in-Chief, eh? Time for some constructive criticism.
Either half of that would have made sense in the context, but combined... not so much.
Nothing you need, nothing you don’t.
I would hate waking up one day realizing I bought a Corvette instead of a 911
Agreed, but that’s not a render. That’s the FT-1 concept car in the flesh. Here it is at the Pebble Beach Concourse. It originally debuted at the NAIAS in red. The bluish-silver is much better.
This is the same problem that Mazda dealt with last decade. They released a concept (Furai) that looked awesome, but the translation of the Nagare design language to production cars was awful. A whole generation of Mazdas looked ridiculous.
Daaaaamn that looks so much better than the new Supra. I still like the new Supra overall, but holy crap the concept was great and even did the unique face of the car way better.
That’s a real vent.
the FT-1 is so gorgeous. I hope someone comes out with a body kit that better resembles this beauty.
I’ve never witnessed so much horsepower in all my existence.
It’s a call back to the FT-01. Admittedly, that’s an amazing concept. the best anything from Toyota in two decades. So they tried to capture the look. Unfortunately that means that all the functional cool looking vents on the concept car had to be made non-functional due to cost/feasibility/aero constraints. It’s sad…
#4 that little cover is probably for the tow hook? So, only a matter of time before we see a license plate there or a giant, gaudy colored, always in tow hook.
Yeah, fake vents are lame, as always.
This is my biggest design peeve; fake things in general (fasteners, wood, etc...) but the fake grills really grind my gears. The new Civic’s rear fake grills are the worst. It’s lazy design, and I honestly don’t know why it’s not shamed more in the design community. It makes the car look like a kid’s toy.
It’s even a fake Toyota.
Way to be pedantic. I guess beyond the “resolution of human perception” is close enough to infinite for most people, but not atatassault47 over here.
There’s still an infinite number of drive ratios between the highest and lowest ratio. So, no, there isn’t a fixed number of drive ratios.
This is irrelevant information to someone giving a review of a bike.
The Continuum isn’t the first vehicle to use a planetary gearing. It’s also used in the transmissions of electric cars like the Toyota Prius or Tesla Model S.
