Obscuring a plate does not put anyone at risk, and I don’t think that is the argument being made. The quote itself mentions obscuring your plate so that you can take part in other illegal activity with impunity, including speeding and running red lights, which does generally put others at risk

It’s NYC, blocking the plate number prevents red light cameras, speed cameras and toll stations from seeing the plate. That means you can drive around speeding, running red lights and using all the bridges and tunnels for free. But let’s just skip those for now and think about what happens when there are hit and run

These are the people who run lights and speed without consideration. I assure you that they are just as dangerous as the asshats in Altimas.

But when they illegally cover their license plate so they can avoid tolls, evade red-light cameras and speed cameras, and generally put others at risk

I’m not 100% with you on campervan vs hotel, but I would love to have a VW California Beach (basically a weekender, pop-top + fold down bench, a table, but no stove or fridge or sink). I want it to be basically a tent I can drive and only need about 30 seconds to set up for sleeping.

No. Stay in a hotel. Not a van. This isn’t it. However, an updated Eurovan would be cool.

I’ll have mine with AWD. Canadians and their 15 year import rules are already driving AWD Fits from the 2000s Honda golden age.

It pisses me off so much that the rest of the world is getting great new 4th gen Fits and America is getting shit. Honda still allegedly sold 30,000 of them for the last full model year in 2020.

Nah, this is junk. Also there are few cars in history that have worse origins than the Beetle. Hard pass on the Type 1.

Taking personal private property without recompense is generally a big no-no.”

What do you do when SCOTUS says they’ve been improperly seized and the Russian oligarchs are due their stuff back in pristine order, or money in lieu thereof? And if you think that would never happen, then you haven’t checked the makeup or ideology of the current bench lately. At least if we’re keeping them in order

First off, why are we paying to maintain them if they have a crew provided under the insurance? Really, we seized them to screw over those in power back in Russia, just let them freaking rust and rot tied up somewhere and hand over the remains if that time comes or auction them off whenever enough time has passed. The

This is the first time I’ve even heard that it’s called Horizon Worlds. That’s how little exposure I’ve gotten from it. Is Facebook really banking on this thing? Maybe I’m just too old.

Same looking, but totally not the same. ZDX was based on the Acura MDX (& Honda Pilot) platform. Crosstour was based on the Accord platform.

While they may have looked similar, the ZDX and Crosstour were not mechanically related.

3. the cyclist was almost all the way past the car when he was struck, which means the cyclist crossed nearly all of the driver’s field of vision before she hit him. which means that asshole councilwoman was texting or whatever.

dumbass runs red light didn’t even look to his right. other dumbass wasn’t even looking at

Cyclists tend to operate in a gray zone between full-on vehicles and full-on pedestrians. If this was a pedestrian jay-walking nobody would care, and if it was a semi-truck running a red light people would be utterly outraged.

+1

Quite a bit to unpack here. Bicyclist claimed he had green, which was later proven false. Vehicle operator HAD to have known she nailed this guy, unless she was on her phone (wouldn’t shock me).

These are hard to find.
