Ever since my 1980 Subaru 4x4 Stomper, I’ve drooled over any lifted car. I welcome this trendy “safari” thing.

Most 911s are driven on the daily summer commute of affluent middle-aged businessmen. More suspension travel and sidewall is probably a good thing in those conditions.

Where’s the light bar?

I grew up on 60s cars (not that old, but that’s what we drove). When the check engine light came on you basically had half a second to shut the engine off so you could coast to a safe spot to stop before things went bad.

It is absolutely the fascist party now. I do not consider myself a democrat. I have voted for republicans before but the new R party is so fucking gone from where they used to be that I could never think of voting for one. The fact they make everyone fall in line behind a dictator and won’t respect any contrary

We all know it’s the Jeep Thing... Hyundai wants in!

Dude, the exact same thing but reversed. I was a center-left progressive, but now all we hear from the left is just as crazy. I used to get along great with one of my right-leaning neighbours and we’d have some funny half-arguments. He’s now completely right-wing-crazy, flies a Trump 2024 flag and a confederate

We might differ on some details but I’ll have a drink with you anytime (after the pandemic obv.).

Ok. Slowly and clearly.

I don’t agree to participate in a medical experiment in which a deadly, novel virus spreads through the population like wildfire, rather than taking simple, proven measures to slow the spread of disease, such as wearing a covering over my mouth and nose when indoors to prevent respiratory droplets from spreading

I used to be conservative. My views haven’t changed, but the definition of what conservative is has been driven to the extremes by lunatics. It used to mean personal freedom, smaller government, lower taxes, etc. Now, it seems to to be all about being a racist, embracing insane conspiracy theories, and embracing

How about the “freedom” to not have to wear a mask all the time and not fear new Covid outbreaks due to vaccinations meaning Covid mutations don’t have a chance to occur in the first place?

Tesla also claims the Cybertruck exists.

They have been calling them the Flu Trucks Klan up here.

MechWarrior or nothing

I imagine that light came on quite regularly for any large Chrysler with the reliable but wheezy slant 6.

I’m not mad about that Subaru. The 2.5RS is one of the best-looking imprezas we got in the US (along with the bugeye) and this one has the right look and the right mechanicals.

Jason, oh Jason, my dear sweet, wonderful, boy! You have missed two of the most wonderful applications of what is essentially the same technology, one of which is on our mutually beloved brand Volkswagen. In the early 80s, even before Volkswagen came out with a five-speed transmission, they were too cheap to install a

The obvious answer is to dump them in the ocean like we do other waste.

I think they need to be at some sort of industrial center, not your home. As the batteries age their likely hood of doing something bad goes way up. They need to be some where that can handle it easily when one goes pear shaped. In general agreed though grid storage would be a great second life.
