As an amateur racer (Chump and LeMons) and as a professional accident reconstruction engineer, the sudden deceleration injuries concern me the most, since there is essentially not much we can do about them. Crush zones and other methods of energy absorption are good, but they're always a trade off when speed and

Me at the 12 Hours of Sebring: Sweet, the new '14 Stingray is here, stylingwise it looks a bit busy, but a damn fine car indeed.

Suspect was caught, yes. But there is another vehicle they think is associated, and only have a bad surveillance camera shot of. I was hoping to help with that.

Hey, buddy. Stop feeding my troll. Boobs McGee is either trolling, or is so new here that he/she doesn't realize we've had considerable success with exactly this situation.

Sorry for this being in the wrong place. Michael, I'm trying to get something posted under the "To catch a car" tag. An 8 year old girl was kidnapped and killed last night. Jacksonville FL police are looking for a car associated with it. I am quite frustrated with this site, kinja, and all that. I just want to get in

91 Octane. Jump to 3:20, you can read the numbers on the stickers better. He used the nozzle on the far right.

That's a no brainer. Oh, wait. Nevermind.

Interesting machine, but I agree with some of the other comments I've read. If it has lift generating wings and forward propulsion through pusher props to aid the main rotor, it's some sort of hybrid. Not a helicopter.

I didn't say I don't drive it during the day. Just not that much, and it's brutally hot. The Miata has no A/C, but I'm guessing it wouldn't do all that much with the top down anyway. Also, we're talking about top down with the sun beating on you. Flat black shouldn't matter.

Anyone who helps out one of my fellow Chumps is good in my book. Word of mouth advertising is gold. Down here in Florida, I'm literally about as far away from there as possible without being in another country, so I can't really drop by for an oil change. But anyone in the area, please remember this act of generosity.

Copied and pasted from my comment on the story above: We need to know the name of Eddie Nakato's Jalopnik approved shop (whatever type that might be) so we can take our business there.

A lovely little thing happened to me once. Racing at the first ChumpCar race ever in Portland. After about 6 hours of racing, it was my turn at the wheel. I went out under caution, toodled around for three laps under yellow, managed to be starting at the starter when the green came back out, went exactly 5 corners

I was thinking the hard tops might not be as easy to come by in Europe. Summer in the Netherlands is probably quite nice. I'm in Florida (America's wang) and we're fully into the season (6-7 months of summer) where top down between 10am and 7pm really isn't fun.

Thanks! A bit pricey, but I do like the look. I might have to splurge for a set of these.

Yeah, you're right. I didn't expand the photos. I see a few. Still seems like a low percentage for an enthusiast based collection.

Anyone know what headlight kit this is??? I want one for my '96! It can be seen better by expanding the third photo: Third row from the left, four cars back.

I love some top down motoring, obviously, seeing as I have one of these here Mazdas. I am, however, very surprised to see not a single hard top in the bunch. Hard tops are very popular among the enthusiasts. Am I missing something?

This happens every now and then. I'm following a car in the right lane on a three lane highway going about the same speed. We approach a slower vehicle, also in the right lane up ahead. The car in front of me uses a turn signal and moves into the middle lane. I do the same. Then, amazingly, the car in front of me uses
