Why? So he can crash and break another bone? He was a great racer (I watched him race at Willow Springs as a teenager and he was incredible) but he is far too broken and beaten to compete on the world stage these days.

The 370Z is 3,278 lbs according to Nissan's official specs for 2015. That's the lightest in it's class (sub 30k, FR, >250hp). I wouldn't call it a "tad heavy".
