To me though, that’s the point. They’re license plates. They shouldn’t be noticed; they detract from the car. I quite like the white/black Texas plates for that exact reason.

I drove a Series 3 once. It was an automatic leaking gas into the trunk, the tires were beyond gone, bits were falling off it every time we stopped and it wasn’t as fast as the noise suggested.

The Scirocco is very nice, but I would sell important body parts for a 21st Century Corrado.

It torque steers like mad and the steering is lifeless. There's no feel in the clutch and it uses a stick carelessly wedged in drying mud instead of a gearbox. You can't get a manual with the torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, you have to get a CVT instead. Why punish someone for wanting AWD?
