GM also isnt a private company and has a responsibility to their shareholders, who want the most on their investment. I have no problem with them killing of slow selling products, perfect would yes they would put new stuff in those plants. Thats not how its working though, it takes a significant investment to retool

I cant find anything about this

I keep asking that because the original post said they were moving products from US to overseas production, which is incorrect. Also I get what you’re saying, but products are made elsewhere because its a ton cheaper. Cutting costs of production is a pretty basic concept.

Equinox in China is for the Chinese market, US ones built in Mexico

They have a Buick imported from China because thats where it went on sale first and decided to try in US, if didnt work they stop importing so its a low cost experiment. Still, what vehicle are they stopping production of in the US and will import from overseas.

HAHA I forgot Peta said comments like that are the same as making racist or homophobic comments. Also, thanks for getting the TPB reference!

Technically they could have retooled the Lordstown plant, but also depends on when job 1 for the Blazer is as well as when production of the Cruze is planned to end. Also this was likely planned awhile ago as far as where the “Blazer” was going to be built. I was just asking what product they stopped making here to

Neutral: Fuck that! I hate GM, I never support them, but in this issue I have to. Keep a plant open to appease congress and build what exactly? The plants being shuttered build products that arent being bought, but they’re expected to keep building those products and just not sell them. Well they could just retool the

What factories did they move overseas? Specifically, what product are they halting production of in the US they they will build elsewhere and sell here?

Was fully planning on buy a new Focus as my commuter until Ford said no to the Focus. The Ford tried to get me to buy an Ecosport and I am not permanently saying no to Ford.

Pretty sure they all do. F-Series includes the 150,250,350,and 450. Then the 350,450,and 550 chassis cabs. GM and Ram both include their HD and half ton together.

I dont really get the “simplicity” of the V8. The only extras the Ecoboost has is the turbos. I think most people for some reason has it in their head that turbos are bad a wear out easily. I love the turbos, having driven both the 3.5 Ecoboost and the V8, the 3.5 just feels so much stronger. Has a diesel like feel a

I think a lot of people were surprised by the success Ford had with the Ecoboost V6 as the vast majority of the F150s sold have one of the two turbos. Still some diehards out there that swear by the robustness of an NA V8, but seems the vast majority of people are fine with the technology.

While not listed here, I was shocked that the Navigator outsold the MKZ....The giant, double the price Navi.

Ram is making some big strides, but will it be enough to ever catch the F-Series? Or even though I feel Ram is making the better trucks right now, Ford just has to much of a grasp on the market.

We knew this was coming. Ive even gone so far as to say before The Game he told his players it would be his last time playing Michigan, hence why they came out so fired up and ready to play. Hopefully this is the last we see of this douchebag.

What in the flying rats cock is Chevy doing as of late with their designs? Assuming this is going to get an emergency redesign like the 2019 Camaro SS

1st Gear: I get people are pissed, plant closures suck. Here is the thing though, who here would keep making products that dont sell? Yes the government bailed out GM and saved hundreds of thousands of jobs, do you want GM to get to that point again? They’re killing off slow selling products with nothing to replace

Neutral: I’ve said this a million times, but I still think killing of all their cars is rather short sighted. I understand that trucks and suvs/cuvs dominate the market, but that doesnt mean the trend will continue. Ford is of the opinion that if that can make a CUV in a similar price range and with similar fuel
