"Oh, and it can't actually move under its own power."
I've had one of those nearly fall on my face out of a hoisted 2000 Chevy Venture van; damn thing was seized on the (very) rusty screw, so when I gave it a big jolt, it just dropped right out... luckily it only hit my shoulder...
Yeah, my ex's 2013 Focus was the same (SE model)... I remember driving it and being completely overwhelmed by all the buttons; it just looks messy and confusing...
Less likely to break and fairly easy to fix too...
Power window controls. I may get flak for this from European car owners, but I believe the buttons for the power windows should all be on the driver's door panel, rather than in the centre console. Honestly, I drove a Fiat 500 the other day and it tripped the hell out of me every time I tried to open a window, as I…
Honda FCEV, arguably one of Honda's coolest concept cars in a while...
Years ago, I owned a 2000 Chevy Impala which put me through a similar terrifying experience. Though completely unrelated to the GM ignition issue, (it was a faulty mass airflow sensor, I found out eventually) the effect was the same; the engine would stall while driving without any warning, leaving me with no power…
OEM-spec Integra numbers are dwindling each year; not only because they get stolen and end up stripped into pieces, but because far too many people get them and neglect them. Rarely have I seen an Integra that wasn't rusted, hideously dented or with an obnoxious fart can hanging out the rear end - at least here in…
This isn't even about who loves what anymore: it's 13.6 million documented GM vehicles that have reported safety concerns... is that a light number to you?
...because many of us barely even knew anything about the G8... just take a look at the massive fuckup of a marketing job GM did with the G8 and you'll understand. The whole thing was misguided; wrong customers, conflicting messages of what the car is, and of course, bad timing; the G8 had just seen daylight, then…
If it's of any consolation, seeing an SS in the wild here is rarer than seeing a Ferrari, and that's pretty bad considering it's an ordinary (albeit very cool) car.
Hear hear on the last statement. Same reason I weep every time I see a G8 nowadays...
Luckily, there's plethora of mods available to bump up power on those engines; or drop in an LS1 for dirt-cheap and voila.
No doubt, the Accord was tight as a drum and is far better in terms of refinement, particularly interior trim. However. Having owned both a 2003 Accord EX sedan and a 2000 Impala LS, there are a few things worth noting about the FWD Impy barge.
I may get flamed for comparing these two, but I put Lancia in the same boat with Lincoln, another brand that, arguably, should of ended at least 10 years ago or so.
Haha go for it; I found that, ironically, right here on Jalopnik
