Oh darn, just noticed this. The split grille really uglified a lot of Chevy's cars; some GMC's too. At least the new Impala didn't have to suffer that as well.

lol, I had to actually look this up. Apparently a manual was once offered, though in its later years (2008, 2009) it came only with a 6-speed auto. Even had AWD as optional, huh.
I think it's because it's such a generic-looking vehicle that when it isn't alongside a million other cars, it sticks out. Not many Sables were bought in Canada (why I'd never seen one), mainly Ford Monteros; which is why it initially struck me as strange.

Personally, I don't see myself buying ever buying Genesis - but I also can't ignore that it offers a lot of bang for your buck. That is, at least, in my opinion.
