most cars manufactured prior to 2000 were pretty much better than a Fisker Ocean. Besides the occasional piece of shit ( looking at you GM and Chrysler ), many pre-2000 cars are still on the road. Had no issues with software, door handles, etc

This guy reviewed Rimac and RR and Lambos.

He still called the Ocean the worst car he’s ever reviewed, saying he would take the Vinfast VF8 or the original Tesla Roadster over the Ocean.

This has an HP TouchPad type of feel to it, if you remember what a mess that was. HP giving up on the TouchPad and essentially giving them away to whoever would take their stock with no hope of any warranty coverage.  I got one because why not?  Free tablet.  Here, Fisker is just unloading everything they have and you

It’s tough when you know the company may not survive the next couple of days / weeks, even if you do want one.

Where are you living that insurance costs are that high? Florida? When I get free quotes they are around $200/month for vehicles more expensive than a Kona.

I got a free quote for an Ioniq 6 yesterday and it was $212/month ($1272 for 6 months). The Ioniq 6 is also $10k more expensive than the Kona. So I’d say insurance cost is pretty standard.

Did you at least check to see what the average cost of insurance is for these before your Chicken Little comment? 🤣

A parent who can afford to give their child a Lamborghini, can probably afford an $18M settlement

ahhhh gotcha lol deep cut. I was genuinely concerned for a second there.

Its a throwback to an OLD vwvortex thread (nearly 20 years ago!!) It was a legendary thread that since been blackholed, but you can read the transcript here: https://www.davidmays.com/vortex/fents_bursh_crub.pdf

It’s amazing how it threaded the needle perfectly between two gas pumps. This could have been waaaaaaaay worse.

Every dad ever.

Apple has intentionally degraded the experience for non iOS users. They chose to continue sending Android messages down the absolute least secure method possible- SMS.  While they simultaneously claimed to care about end user security.

Very late in 2023, after significant EU regulatory pressure, Apple preemptively announced they would support RCS sometime in 2024. They didn’t commit to full support and intend to intentionally maintain a worse experience when messaging non-Apple users.

Does anyone even use their phone to talk anymore?

My popcorn button works to perfection on my microwave.  Almost every kernal popped, none burned.

“However, if more planes installed pico-cells, you could likely do this for free.”

Sure there is. You buy a big whiteboard, which is about ten bucks, fix it to the front of the cabin, and you write on it “names of people added to no-fly list for breaching ‘quiet cabin rules’ today”. Then simply add the names of people creating a disturbance to it. For ease of use, cabin crew can simply add the names

The real reason is this: airlines think people won’t stop yapping on their cell phones during flights, leading to more instances of “air rage.”
