If by "photos he took" , the artist means "Photos he took from someone's website or off the internet", then he's probably accurate. I'm usually not one to point stuff like this out, but the Ford Raptor piece, and the Toyota Hilux piece, are both images taken from websites, and then had what appears to be a filter run

I'm not going to call BS on these or anything, but they really do look like photos put through a cheesy filter. Which actually kind of makes them more amazing, as long as that isn't the case.
