People just love to hate on China no matter what is going on. It's actually a great country with some pretty genuine and honest people. The sad part is that a lot of (young) Chinese people are fascinated with America and they think the streets are paved with gold. I'm teaching middle school students in rural China

Oh wait it's China ... let's just call it a ripoff ... Seriously? Just because it is China doesn't mean it has to be a ripoff. I am starting to get really annoyed by this. I mean sure there are a lot of things that are getting copied in the big country of the middle but not every single item that looks remotely like

Seriously, let's hear it for the 12-year-old.

Those were dark times they'll never understand.

If anything, this latest "Kids React" video from The Fine Bros makes me want to pick up an old Apple for the kids, so they can learn how to use computers the proper way. And by the proper way I mean oh my god I'm my dad.

I think you'll need to depict the situation in Sid Meier's Civilization terms. Everyone knows how tense the late game land grab is, when you've got this huge standing army and these tiny neighbors... Then again, that would also mean that our closest allies are on the verge of nuking us. Lookin' at you, Gandhi.

Well, isn't that odd. If a guy masturbates it is linked to sadness because he's not getting with a woman. And if a guy has a sex toy, oh wow the world points and laughs.. and laughs.. and laughs. How is that not a stigma/taboo? Hairy Palms and jokes about "sex rags" are common tropes for women/men to hurl at other

Apple being overbearing? As right as rain.

Just so we're clear, Marie Antoinette definitely didn't say "qu'ils mangent de la brioche." The earliest record of that phrase is in Rousseau's autobiography, which was first written when Antoinette was a young child. He wrote generically about some great princess who said that the peasants should be fed brioche

does anyone else realize how crazy this is? like only 10 years ago, if you were a fan of some medieval fantasy book thing, you'd be consider a nerd (in not the good way), pretty much same thing with the Walking Dead, but now both are like the biggest pop culture phenomenons.

starcraft 2 is perfect

It's great that even disabled cabbage can have a new lease on life.

I do merchandising for an online retailer and believe me, I preach this to my superiors.

Me too. It'd be slow, though, wouldn't it? Or is Steam only slow for me?

Tabbed browsing is easily the feature I wish Steam would add the most.

I am so tired of flashy layouts. Everywhere I look marketers want me to like flashy layouts with squares and limited information and lots of suggestions... Just give me a list to look at, I much prefer lists, and leave it to me to find my own games to play.

I completely disagree. I like the store the way it is. Having it the way you suggested actually has less info on it. Why would you want that? As of right now, there's a new releases tab, top sellers tab, coming soon tab, specials tab, recently updated section, a demos section, section for featured PC, Mac, and Linux

It'd be nice if Steam were faster and had tabbed browsing. That's about it. The thumbnails in new releases tell me enough, if I want to know more, I just click.

Fanciful displays seem like BS to me. Well-organized lists allow me to find what I'm looking for. Big Picture mode doesn't allow you to use user-generated tags that games have to find what you want, only the regular display does that. Everything's listed well and in the right categories. Organized for

If Steam were what we used for game discovery, why would we bother coming here?
