Thank you for your post. You stated everything perfectly.

The reason people call themselves something like "geek" or "nerd" is because they feel socially excluded and are trying to rationalize a social gathering by saying everyone is on even footing.

I am an American soldier, and I really do not agree with the sentiment of being upset with this. It just doesn't bother me. I agree with Sol on this one. Twelve years ago something terrible happened to the American people. This has nothing to do with China or its inhabitants. Why, after more than a decade, would they

Yeah.

China wasn't the one attacked, so why should they be sensitive about it?

As much as I hate to say this, DRM is a necessary evil for game publishers (especially the indies) to keep making money. Piracy is rampant. If piracy wasn't much of a problem, I'd be yelling "Mr. Newell, tear down this wall!"

I'm not suffering *at all*. Steam has converted me from a full-time pirate to a happy paying customer. I can play offline, I get all updates automatically, I can pay the price of a pack of cigarettes for great games, I can share screenshots with my friends by pressing a single button, I can join games my friends are

Steam DRM isn't a bad thing for anyone but pirates. You have to activate your game online, but there's a 99% chance you'll be buying the game online anyway. Plus, non-steam games require you to activate online anyway. So... yeah...

Oh no you can't steal the games, what ever will you do.

If Steam had never happened, I very much doubt PC gaming would be in the good health it is today. Without the sales volumes that Steam helps to generate, there would have been a downward spiral of "release fewer games on PC because they don't sell". Even during Steam's lifetime, that cycle has threatened to take hold.

Your old phone does not become obsolete with the release of a new device. My son still is using an iPhone 3Gs and my wife is using an iPad2 and they get along just fine.

For you "MOBA" fans here's a song that actually had some international success.

Personally, I can do without. If it's well established historically, I don't think having a pretense for why you're building would really improve anything.

Historically, cities evolved naturally and expanded to accomodate different elements such as trade. They really didn't need a political driving force, it would sort

Game genres that I find are significantly better with controllers:::

I'm 30 and have played every Final Fantasy in order at the times they came out. I also recently revisited 4-8 earlier this year, planning on doing 9-12 later to see where my childhood memories stand with how things hold up today as an adult. I was surprised to find myself switching stances. I was a 6 advocate all my

Slow Story? I totally disagree. I think FF7's pacing is one of it's strongest aspects. and as for "being busy showing off graphics" if it really wanted to do that it would have WAY WAY more pre-rendered cutscenes and in truth...it barely has any and the ones it DOES have are short. Really most of the game is spent in

Yeah, FFVII is a real omission. Regardless of how people feel about it, it was a turning point for gaming in general.

I want to be excited, but with the botched execution of BG:EE I will instead suppress my enthusiasm.
