It was! I just found out when I looked again that there was also a Predator vs Judge Dredd vs Aliens. Looks like they’ve really run through the gamut of possibilities over the years, haven’t they?

Dark Horse did do Aliens/Predator/Terminator crossovers (yes, all three in the one comic series) and of course there’s the Robocop/Terminator one. It wouldn’t surprise me as to what all the other permutations were (I mean, they did Aliens/Superman of all things!).

I thought Danny Glover was great. He seems like he’s perpetually on the verge of completely falling apart and yet paradoxically he’s the unstoppable force of nature in this film, not the predator. His “OK, who’s next?” was the perfect cap to a truly impressive pursuit sequence.

The sudden reveal it was an urban jungle in the opening sequence and then all the heat and noise that throws off in general before it shifted to the action of the movie was a clever one IMO, though.

You remember those guys at the very start of Aliens who first sent in a drone to check out Ripley’s escape shuttle before actually entering themselves?

One thing AvP 2:Requiem had going for it was the “Wolf” Predator who didn’t muck around and came to do a cleanup job of everyone from the first AvP movie and all up for the best part, did the job he was supposed to do with clinical efficiency as well as being about the only one in any of the movies that I can recall…

I always preferred Predator in the isolated setting (jungle, underground pyramid, another world). I never much cared for “Urban Predator”.
