Yeah, I was about to post the same. A 12-gauge shotgun is around 150dB at the muzzle; a 5.56 AR15 around 160dB. Seems to me that would be a better comparison for this article, as more people are familiar with the sound of gunfire than have heard a Saturn V.
It is an odd (hyperbolic) choice. Most charts put a gunshot at 150 dB which is also listed as instantaneous hearing damage. So - plenty loud.

Yup. Apparently the flying crowbar is 1/32 as loud as a Saturn V rocket. Which is still loud enough to rupture your eardrums, but comparing it to a Saturn V rocket is meaningless.
