Evangelicals used to be suspicious of Catholics, and worried that JFK would be controlled by the Vatican. So it makes sense that modern US Catholics would make common cause with them. No, wait. That’s dumb as hell. Abortion and the specter of GAY MARRIAGE made everyone lose their mind.

It must be hell for a man who reads as much as Mattis does to be saddled with a President so anti-intellectual as Trump. It seems pretty clear that Trump thought he was picking the meme-version of Mattis and not the actual man.

Who knows what Trump was thinking when he asked for that. Regardless of his reason, he wanted to pull families out during increased tension, which the North Koreans would absolutely have read as a preparation for war, which only would have made things *even more tense.* It’s almost impressively stupid.

I haven’t actually played the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop, so it may refer to the players’ actions in a typical game — namely, CRIME. Part of it is what he says in the immediate next paragraph, about “human scaled characters.”
