Geez, how easy would it have been for them to delay the blurb until after she had actually received her dress? Use another winner from a few months ago, someone who had actually received and was satisfied with her prize. Laziness.

It's also there, first and foremost, to protect the public.
Hmmm, as a beginning engineer, currently studying for my licensing exam, I'm all for people who build buildings, bridges and infrastructure needing years of experience, extensive licensing and to meet continuing education requirements. That said, I think there's a good point to be made for making entry to some…
Thanks to you too! This looks brilliant and just want I was looking for. I guess I'll deal with my disappointment at not being able to patent, market and make mega-bucks off this idea by treating myself to a good night's sleep.
Thanks! I know what she's getting for her birthday. It's quite a bit for a two-year old but I'll consider it a gift to her parents as well. I'll probably also get one for myself. :)
Per my OP comment above, I'm going to scour amazon for that exact item for my wee niece who seems terrified of bedtime and dark.
Or maybe get one of those timer lights that dims over an hour and then slowly brightens up over a half-an-hour when you need to wake up. Do those exist? If not, they should.
Sleeping like babies = misnomer, especially in the case of my two year old niece, who I'm pretty sure is afraid of the dark. Based on this study, I'm going to go buy her the most soothing nightlight ever and see if it helps.
Hilarious. Hearted.
I dunno, I've seen bigger and more expensive cock-ups, with alarms and fail-safes galore. You can have untold number of fail-safe measures, but if they aren't tested to make sure that they work and periodically checked up on to ensure they remain functional then they mean little when actual failure occurs. *cough,…
Except for the Marina or North Beach, those neighborhoods are always too far away somehow.
Hmmm, Mint Plaza isn't too far from FiDi.
Yep, it's called the Warehouse District, just southeast of Jack London Square. It's walkable distance from me. I love the New Orleans Iced Coffee.
Come out to Oakland, where the Blue Bottle flows like wine. :)
Maybe FourBarrel?
Because all the ladies be swooning.
I hail from the PNW and I love all its beany offerings but I also want to give a shout out to my adopted hometown's beans and brew: Blue Bottle, my mornings would be dark without you.
Canadian pennies.
Ha! When I studied engineering in college it turned out that one of the women's restrooms in the oldest engineering building had made it onto the internet as one of the best places in City X to have anonymous gay sex. None of the female students ever used it because the plumbing was so old and it was so poorly lit.
I was actually advocating finding a suit that has nice fabric and trimmings, purchase one size up and then have a magic tailor bring it down. Though, if you have broad shoulders or hips you can purchase a suit to fit your broadest bit and then tailor in the rest.
