I used to be in a clan that was fine with people with hearing problems.... It was a small clan, I helped recruit, donated $100+ over several months. Then, when we had plenty of people donating, I got kicked out by a vote. Even though they started the vote with people missing and it was only by one or two. Reason I

I guess this precaution is not needed..... So far......

Ah.... Well, it's a fascinating part of life, keeps me going through my ill health :P

Well, firstly there is the Allen Hills asteroid you mentioned, then the data from Viking Mars. Which many believe was wrong in 1976, Miller says he is 99% sure there is bacteria on Mars and the only 100% way to prove it is to send a microscope and observe them moving.

You are welcome, I'm not fully knowledgeable on the subject, but I knew the stuff I said. It is very worrying.... Eisenhower warned that if the US didn't keep the MIC in check, it would become what it's become today. So now the US is effectively the bodyguard of several nations. It offers defence treaties in exchange

Ah, it's only possible. Still, it's life, we know life exists out there, just not complex, intelligent life. But it's a given anyway, I once worked out the amount of planets in the (known) universe that are similar to Earth. Something like 3,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. Or was it more.... Can't

God.

I'm sure if God wanted us to meet them, we would have.

You got burned enough by Delphinus100, so I won't mention what he said.

America is a military based economy. It has spiralled way out of control and the US needs to constantly have wars so that the money isn't wasted. Think of it as running down a hill, the further you run, the faster you have to run or you'll fall over and crash... Now replace running with spending money and the hill

We are, but I believe he was referring to intelligence species which was billions of years old. Humans technically are, if you combine our entire evolutionary history together, but not as a single species. By that I mean, there could be HumanX's which have reached the pinnacle of evolution or don't change much which

I think he meant intelligent life, cause, you know, he is the Senior Astronomer for SETI, Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence. Key word, intelligence. So, yeah. Humans are not billions of years old, as a species, sure their total combined evolutionary background is, but not Homosapiens.

Didn't we find bacteria on Mars and on various asteroids that crashed into Earth? You know, small ones.

The problem is, while many people might think something is right, lots of people demand more evidence than that. For example, thousands upon thousands of people claim to of seen ghosts, but even more don't believe in them. They need established academics to go "Yup, ghosts are real" before they'll let go. Same applies

But what about non-US countries? :P

I think so D:

There we go!

So, start a story on how this fungus mutates and causes humans to go mad, ala RAGE, and done, you've got a new zombie film. Or how it makes them want to pass the fungus spore on, so it does it by making them attack people. Could be good. According to io9 fungi are more likely to be the cause of a zombie apocalypse.

Wonder what one does in this situation, try and find the mother? Take it home and look after it till it's an adult? My mother used to have a mini-farm, you know, ducks and chickens. She says chickens will put themselves to bed if a coop is provided, but ducks have to be made to get in. Also, their poop is very slimy

I doubt it's the food kind, they are usually, you know, farmed. This is prob a wild variety which are not as nice.
