You know what, BioShock had ALL the best characters of last gen. Competition over.

Character: Big Daddy (Plus Little Sister)

I had a go with 3D World at Play Expo, and I don't think I would qualify it as casual, it still has enough control complexities to be potentially confusing, and none of the parents or kids I played with could anywhere near keep up with me on it. Still, it is certainly being marketed as a little more accessible than

You say that, but I bought a Wii U at launch, and it's DEFINITELY cheaper...
It's very frustrating to watch the price drop.

Agreed, although I would say any of the proper 3D Mario games aren't really casual, just the platforming 'New' entries and the sports titles.

You know, I could never beat that level without cheating. Half-Life 2 (and Eps) always had the best 'action' music, and it always felt especially powerful because it only ever played in particularly important/high stakes moments.

Well, that's why Dragon Age's (Origins that is, not played the second) morality/relationship system felt better I thought. It wasn't a points system, it was just how do your mates feel about it. If your closest/nicest mate disagreed it made you feel bad which is a much more powerful form of feedback I think.

I agree, I borrowed this game off a friend and I just couldn't get into it. Nothing interesting to do but flit from mission to mission on a horse. That obviously floats some people's boats, but not mine.

Wow, they sure changed a lot after that first reveal trailer.

Oh me too, but other people seem to dislike it because it is 'too easy' - seemingly the main complaint against PoP. To me that's not the point, it's just the thrill of running around in a beautiful world with that physicality that Luke describes. That said, I agree with reviews at the time, Mirror's Edge is great

Indeed. Although I have to admit I don't know the ins and outs of DirectX and OpenGL or how they compare against each other, maybe I'll do a bit of research...

I think that's the only reason they're paying attention now, it's pretty much the only genuine threat against people gaming on Windows.

SteamOS.

Goat USB? Fantastic reward XD.

I could never get past the start of that game. I couldn't understand how I was being so thick, but I don't think I ever played it again after that attempt.

Okay, your answer has confused me more than anything. So a couple's transient happiness has nothing to do with marriage, it is primarily a tool for raising children? Did I read that right? I feel like we're speaking different languages here. Nothing in the actual marriage ceremony says anything about children as far

I made this mistake when I played the unwound future. I play on the R4 (naughty!) and downloaded US ROMs for the first 2, and then a European one for the 3rd. The European Luke has an annoyingly high-pitched voice, I MUCH preferred the American one. I think it's going to annoy me every time I hear his voice now.

I bought mine in Liverpool first week, I feel like a bloody mug.

Well, if that's really how you feel about marriage, I don't see why you'd ever get married, you're signing your life away effectively. It's quite simply a stupid decision if there's no way out. If I ever marry the person I'm with now, I know she feels the same way as me, and frankly I feel a lot happier settling down

So, let me get this right, by honour you just mean you value keeping a promise over your own happiness? On your own head mate. I sure hope you've never broken a promise in your entire life, or that would make you look REALLY dishonourable. You definitely sound like you've got some very old-fashioned, romanticised
