I’ve only experienced it post-patch, and I don’t have a screen protector on it yet... it’s slower than the back-facing predecessors by at least a quarter second (which is fine if you haven’t used them before, it’s a nuisance if you’re used to the old speed). The AK feels borderline unusable now. I tried it two days ago, after unlocking it, and after the first shot it just bounces all over the damn place... maybe it just needs some unlocks before it’s practical to equip.

BF4 probably was the ACTUAL peak, but I never came back after the abysmal launch of 4, so BF3 is my personal peak.

This was my impression too, but I also notice that anytime you get multiple aerial vehicles in proximity, the game start rubber-banding.  My guess is the maps were made larger to keep player density down, as the engine or netcode doesn’t handle it well.
