I’ve had lawsuits in the past and cannot deal with another one.

Wait I don’t understand.. are you don’t want to pay $600 to drape this beige fabric around yourself? Or $1,000 to wear this bath mat made of what I can only assume is discarded synthetic wigs as a vest?

You’re going to get a lot of shit for this, but I agree with a lot of your points. I think that she clearly has some very serious mental health problems and has clearly made a lot of mistakes, but at least a lot of the work she did when she was in the middle of all of this was good.

I don’t disagree that what Dolezal was doing was wrong, but completely aside from that...why is a specific internet commenter’s black woman’s POV more important than Keri Hilson’s black woman POV, or any other black woman’s POV? We know that women, black women, or any other “group” of people are not a monolith and do

Bitch, please. Don’t tell me that my POV, and the POV of my mother, my grandmothers, my great-great grandmothers, my aunts, my cousins, my sisters—biological, legal, and social—is unimportant to me. I will step on your long dress and make your pearls choke your throat.

All evidence points to an inherent pathology of lying to draw attention to herself. Everything from issuing a fake statement from her fake (black) father announcing he was going to speak at a local NAACP event (later saying he wasn’t going to be able to make it after all), to allegedly sending herself hate mail and

I’ve already been falsely accused of saying that Dolezal isn’t lying about abuse suffered at the hands of her parents, so the ensuing opprobrium from this comment won’t be surprising.

Jesus Christ, not even JK Rowling got so much control over the adaptations of her books. Why did this cut rate Twilight Mary Sue fanfic writer get so much control? It’s still mindboggling.

I feel pretty bad for thinking this but....

I think that the origin of whatever is going on in her head involves her parents being the kind of people who would out her in public rather than quietly informing her bosses at the NAACP and getting mental health professionals involved. They let this go a loooong time, and then felt this was the way?
Sorry, something

I’m trying very hard not to judge her, but my compass is moving consistently to psychopath. All the lies certainly don't help her case.

I’m totally ok with opposing opinions. But I’m totally NOT OKAY with being called (direct quote here) “fucking stupid,” which is why you’re last comment was dismissed. That does not add to discourse, whereas your comment here actually does.

I’m thinking about what could possibly be going through her head, and really trying to figure out where her heart is, too, and I keep coming up with this hunch that she really was trying to be, I dunno, true to herself somehow...? Or at least she never meant to hurt anyone, in fact quite the opposite...? It has my

You could literally apply this entire argument to trans people

I said this on another thread but this is like some racial version Münchausen syndrome. She is hardcore lying about being the victim of hate crimes. HATE CRIMES. She’s pretending to be black for attention and sympathy.

Would YOU wanna be the person who questioned the racial credentials of the new president of your NAACP chapter? How bad would you look if you were wrong? I think there was plenty of talk but no one wanted to be that person who asked her if she was really black.

Igloo Australia is on notice.

I have to add that when I interviewed Baddie and we talked about her church (she is devoted to her little church where she lives and goes every Sunday), she told me she goes there to pray. I asked her what she prays for.

Ok, I'll admit, sometimes kids are awesome.
