I guess they're going beyond "illustrated radio" by doing actual radio on the television. Everything old is new again.

That's from Sunday's broadcast. Doesn't matter if I watch it on my new flatscreen, old 32" TV or iPad, most of the night and/or interior scenes are too dark to make out. It's just crappy cinematography.

Worth the wait. This is my favorite shot of all of these.

"Anus" is right in the name....

I missed this somehow. Speaking of dark photography. I've been wondering if The Walking Dead fired their lighting guy this season or is just cutting back because the cast has gotten so large. It often sounds like something important is happening on screen, but I can't see a damn thing.

If they're still watching Gremlins 2 forty years from now, that will mean the apocalypse happened and it was the last surviving DVD.

Once the 16k digital movie cameras start rolling out and are shown to be superior at everything over film, we'll still have people claiming that film is "warmer" and "more lifelike."

Apparently they stuffed-up the mix on the IMAX print. Embarrassing in this day and age for a movie of that budget.

Yeah, it's more like a person being alone in a crowd. If he weren't a film director, I'd wonder if Nolan had ever actually met human beings. There was zero human connection in Interstellar. The robots felt more realistic.

It's less emotional than Gravity and a lot less smart. The visual effects are about even overall, but Gravity had much more spectacular shots. The opening sequence of Gravity is better than the entirety of Interstellar.

Another reason why digital is better - one mix to rule them all:

But they're free to free! What could be better than that?

Get used to being the only one.

I have my AARP card. I *was* there when this was new and high tech. And it bored the hell out of me then, too. The first Trek movie was overlong and self-indulgent.

"Crap. Blue screen of death."

Eight are "dumb" and the 9th is "fanboi."

That's sadly true.

We in New England have Net Neutrality right now due to government regulation. It was part of the deal the federal government forced onto Comcast when they bought Adelphia.

Sadly, it's fucking working.

Same here. I did just that the other day, in fact. One of the few Oscars given for a comedic performance and well-deserved, too. It's not only a great comedy, it's also one of the all-time great courtroom movies, too.
