Can you imagine 4 years of your life going up in flames like that?

Knowing no one got hurt makes it less upsetting.

My first time online was in Columbus, Ohio, in the late 70s. My uncle was one of the earliest IT guys (I think for Banc One) and they all talked to each other, so he had some special CompuServe access. Not long after I got a modem of my own and logged into BBSes all over. I clearly recall the night when one of my

Are you from Ohio? We had CompuServe in Dayton (I think it was started in Columbus or Cleveland, I forget) in the late 70s/early 80s when I first started using the internet, but I have zero idea what Magic Cap apps are.

Ah, the good ol' a/s/l. I'd forgotten all about that.

We've already heard stirrings that microparticles can potentially cause cancer because they're small enough to disrupt the functioning of cells. How long before we find out nanoparticles are disrupting DNA or interfering with communication between nerves?

My old Motorola flip phone battery lasted for days. I miss that.

Hey now, don't be mean, the guy's dyslexic. He thinks he wrote "FlogWood."

Well, as a frequent visitor to Boston, I'm not completely opposed to filling in the harbor. :p

I am torn between being amused and bemused.

I am a professional filmmaker.

That is cool. I need to get a GoPro.

Boy-howdy did you miss the point.

I've known a number of people who were beyond morbidly obese who've done similar crash weight loss and it's messed up their metabolism as well as their ability to regulate temperature. I'm just saying it's better to get checked out and nip any potential problems in the bud.

Did you read the whole story? They were singled out by bullies being assholes, who no doubt laughed about it later.

The sad thing is, it was so close to being a really good movie. It's just like Mission to Mars, where it had really cool moments... and then completely dropped the ball for a bunch of unscientific bullshit halfway through.

That's a lot of weight in a short time. That can seriously screw up your body and it often leads to rebound weight gain. You should check in with your doctor if you haven't already and get a comprehensive blood panel done.

I'm having a little trouble getting past step one:

Now playing

AMEE from Red Planet is one of the coolest robots I've ever seen onscreen. Too bad she was wasted in such a lame movie.

Hairrrry baby. Hairy baby!
