@bdkennedy1002: I agree. This was always more of a PR issue than an antenna issue.

@dcdttu: Actually, I think they were only available to purchase very very early at the i/o conference. Maybe I heard Mr. Gundotra wrong though.

I would be tempted to leave Android for this for a couple of reasons:

@blehbleh13: That's a quote from the Simpsons.

@Boomdiggity!: I'm calling b.s. on this guy too. He sounds like someone who gets phones to sell on ebay without really using them or living with them.

@Andy Mesa: What argument? What are you arguing about and why should I care? I'm not saying the regular buying population needs to do anything.

@vinod1978: I think that antenna attenuation is different than what people are experiencing with the iPhone 4 in that if you are in a weak signal area, just touching those lines makes you either drop a call or completely cut out and you won't even know it. It's more antenna de-tuning, a short. Honestly, I think people

@Andy Mesa: Evidence? I was merely mentioning a conversation I had tonight. What is this evidence you are speaking of? And what is it to you if all of my friends are geeks? Who gives 2 shits?

@vinod1978: And why did they put the lines right a where your hand covers the phone?

@blehbleh13: I don't find it strange at all. Steve Jobs is the CEO of a company. If they don't like the way he is handling a situation, why buy his products? I agree completely.

@vinod1978: He was very aggressive in his answers, especially during Q&A at times when he didn't need to be.

@cjp: Why would you own a droid x and an iPhone 4. I call b.s.

@Undertones: That's the confusing thing about this whole antenna issue. It appears that the iPhone 4's antenna is the best smartphone antenna on the market, receiving signals at insanely weak db levels. But at the same time, it's the crappiest antenna in that some people, just when they are touching the gap between

@snitch: Lamest rebuttle evAr.

@Jeffrey Kesler: Right, and Jobs has NEVER taken any cheap shots at Gizmodo. Ever.

I went to a wedding tonight and this press conference came up between me and some friends. Many of them were considering the iPhone 4 but didn't like the tone Jobs had at the conference and how it's being handled. Most claimed they'll hold off for now and see what happens in September. I don't blame them. Don't let
